The president’s remark about Pelosi comes shortly after her feud with freshmen Democrat congresswomen. These congresswomen included Reps. Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib.
During a back-and-forth about a spending appropriation bill, Pelosi made statements asserting that the aforementioned caucus members only have influence on social media, not in real life. This later prompted Ocasio-Cortez to fire back, stating that Pelosi singled out women of color.
Since the feud, Pelosi and Ocasio-Cortez have met with one another in order to bridge gaps.
Accusations of Racism
Many right-leaning Americans share the viewpoints which President Trump articulated in his tweets. Conservatives across the nation have asserted that Democrats tend to accuse others of racism when things are not going their way.
