2020 Democrat hopeful Bernie Sanders is currently battling the establishment wing of the Democrat Party.

This new battle emerges as Sanders has lost ground with voters within his party, going from second place in the polls to third place.

Sanders vs. Corporate Democrats

On Wednesday, Politico tweeted out a report that centrist voters are supporting Elizabeth Warren instead of Bernie Sanders. It's also important to note that Warren previously occupied the third place position in the polls. However, after gaining some points, she managed to replace Sanders as the second place candidate to Biden's frontrunner status.

It goes without saying that Sanders is less than pleased about the current state of his presidential campaign. Therefore, he took to Twitter to respond to Politico's tweet with his own theories. According to the presidential candidate, centrists are turning to Warren because corporate Democrats are against a Sanders nomination or presidency.

Previous Issues with the Democrat Establishment

The current presidential election is far from an anomaly as it pertains to Bernie Sanders. As many Americans recall, this is not his first time running for the White House. During the 2016 presidential election, Sanders launched an unsuccessful bid to win the Democrat nomination.

Although, the massive number of superdelegates awarded to Hillary Clinton sabotaged any fighting chance which Sanders had. Later, Americans learned via leaked Wikileaks emails of the Democrat establishment's collusion to block Sanders from winning the nomination.

The Current State of the 2020 Presidential Election

At this time, the 2020 presidential election is gearing up to be quite interesting. Presently, there are nearly two dozen Democrats who are vying to win the nomination to represent their party in the 2020 election. Biden remains as his party's frontrunner, although the extent of his lead has slightly declined.

Earlier this week, President Trump also officially launched his re-election campaign. Joined by supporters in Orlando, Florida, the president discussed various issues such as immigration, healthcare, and government. Trump has also weighed in on the present state of Democrats who wish to take him on in 2020.

Thus far, the president maintains that Biden is likely to win the nomination to represent the Democrat Party.
