Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suggested the possibility of Russian interference or involvement in the deadly U.S. Capitol insurrection on January 6.

Clinton mentioned her suspicion regarding the matter during an interview with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on her podcast, "You and Me Both."

The former Secretary of State brashly stated to Pelosi that she would "be interested in obtaining President Trump's phone records to see if he was on the phone with Putin while the Capitol was being breached."

Clinton, still bitter regarding her loss to President Donald Trump in 2016, stated, "The president had 'other agendas' while in the White House and hopes that one day it becomes known who exactly the president was 'beholden to' and 'who pulls his strings."

Pelosi and Clinton agree on the need to establish an investigative body to determine Trump's ties with Putin

"I would love to see his phone records to see if he was talking to Putin the day the insurgents invaded our Capitol," she continued. She then asked Speaker Pelosi if she "believed the country would benefit from a 9/11-commission-type probe to investigate what exactly led up to the deadly riot."

"I don’t know what Putin has on him politically, financially, or personally, but what happened last week was a gift to Putin because Putin wants to undermine democracy in our country and throughout the world," Pelosi said. She said those that took part in the riot were "Putin’s puppets."

In a triumphant sounding Tweet to share the session, Clinton boasted:

@SpeakerPelosi and I agree: Congress needs to establish an investigative body like the 9/11 Commission to determine Trump's ties to Putin so we can repair the damage to our national security and prevent a puppet from occupying the presidency ever again -

All this, despite her own ties to multiple scandals while Clinton held the position of Secretary of State.

In the midst of some in the Democratic Party claiming to want unity for the Nation, continuing these divisive, child-like gossip style conversations among the political heads will only continue to separate and denigrate Conservative voices, fanning the embers of a, thankfully short-lived and quickly condemned burst.
