Joe Biden is not only the incumbent president, but also the Democrat Party's de facto 2024 nominee.

Attempts by fellow leftists Dean Phillips and Marianne Williamson to win the party's nomination did not pan out. Biden easily cruised to victory in the primary, which was shortly followed by Phillips dropping out and endorsing the sitting president for reelection.

Still, not everyone on the left is confident that Biden will be able to recreate the same outcome he enjoyed in November 2020. Concerned individuals cite polls revealing public discontent with the president's overall job performance. Surveys that show him struggling against Trump in certain swing states are also echoed by his critics.

Nevertheless, Biden has many allies in the Democrat Party who believe he'll put through in just under seven month's time. They've begun to speak out accordingly.

Democrats rally around Biden ahead of the general election

Left-wing officials like Sen. Debbie Stabenow and others feel midwestern states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin will play a huge role for Biden in November. They've predicted that as the president's polling increases here, he'll also benefit from abortion, which is top of mind for many voters.

Lately, Biden's been working to convince the public of his role in reviving manufacturing jobs. While Republicans view this matter through a very different lens, Stabenow and other allies to the president believe voters will see things his way.

Nevertheless, polls show Biden barely squeaking by against Trump in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. In Michigan, some surveys even have Trump ahead of the incumbent leader. Since 1992, every Democrat that went on to win the presidency carried these three states.

Biden's allies have nonetheless expressed confidence that he'll win other important states like Nevada, Georgia, and Arizona. In 2020, then-candidate Biden surprised pundits and voters alike after eking out a win in the traditionally red Peach State.

What to expect from Biden between now and November 5

Leading up to the general election, Americans can anticipate the president's team zeroing in on these critical states. Likewise, the Biden camp will undoubtedly hit Trump on abortion and other social issues that are top of mind for certain voters.

Already, the president's commenced outreach to gettable voters who aren't necessarily Democrats, yet still feel fed-up with Trump and today's GOP. This is most apparent in Biden's efforts to win voters who backed Nikki Haley in the Republican primary.
