This is the seventh recall by Tesla in less than a year, and it has put the company back in the news because to the highly anticipated Cybertruck.
Fans of Tesla were excited for the Cybertruck’s release because this futuristic electric vehicle was already becoming popular among well-known celebrities like Lil Baby and Kim Kardashian. But this car hasn’t always been smooth sailing, and a recent problem has led to yet another round of recalls.
The Latest Recall: What Went Wrong?
This time, the problem is a malfunctioning rearview camera display on the Cybertruck. Over 27,000 Cybertrucks are impacted, according to reporting from the Associated Press and Tesla’s official statement. The trucks affected by the recall were specifically made between November 2023 and September 2024.
The rearview display screen’s activation delay is the source of the issue. Rearview camera images must emerge two seconds after a car switches into reverse according to US law. But it was taking up to eight seconds for the rearview camera image to appear in some of the impacted Cybertrucks.
