Amrit Ocean Resort contractors lawsuit

The shine is wearing thin on one of Singer Island’s most ambitious luxury developments as the Amrit Ocean Resort contractors lawsuit joins a growing stack of legal actions confronting the oceanfront property just two years after construction wrapped up.

Seven lawsuits have now been filed against the Amrit Ocean Resort and Residences or entities tied to its developer, pulling the seven-acre hotel-and-condominium complex into a widening legal storm. The claims come from business partners, condominium owners and even one of the project’s own homeowners’ associations, touching everything from alleged construction defects to unpaid bills.

Owners Cite Defects, Delays and Broken Promises

Among the most serious cases is a lawsuit from a condominium owner who paid $4 million for his unit. He alleges the luxury property has been plagued by malfunctioning elevators, a shattered window, water intrusion and extensive cracking in the ceiling — problems he says undermine both safety and value.

Another owner, who bought a $2.5 million condominium, is suing for breach of contract and fraudulent misrepresentation, claiming he still cannot move into the unit he purchased, despite repeated assurances.
