On his way to Mumbai from Newark on United Airline, this same Twitter user told Herald USA he’s using his own money to find a hotel until the next available flight on Sunday.
“I was flying from Newark to Mumbai on Thursday night. The flight got cancelled, we stood in line for 8 hrs… I Booked the next flight on Sunday through an agent in Mumbai so I checked into a hotel at my personal expense.”
According to FlightAware.com, there have been nearly 4,000 flight cancellations and even more flight delays all because of the weather. Eight deaths have also been reported due to the weather.
The storm is expected to let up sometime Saturday.
