Conservatives Raise Concerns about Alleged FBI Plant in Trump Campaign

Over the past few weeks, matters regarding the FBI, the Russia investigation, and the 2016 Trump campaign have surged in controversy. Therefore, some conservatives are expressing concerns that the FBI may have carefully placed a ‘plant’ within then-candidate Trump’s campaign as a means of spying on him, according to The Hill.

An Overview of the Aforementioned Theory

At this point, over one year has passed since the inception of the controversial Russia probe. Many Democrats and Trump critics allege that the investigation is warranted; they also believe the Trump campaign colluded with Russia in order to win the 2016 election However, the President and his administration have ongoingly denied the preceding allegations, moreover affirming their innocence.

Despite the ceaseless Russia probe, there still remains no evidence that Trump colluded with Russia. Nevertheless, the investigation continues which has raised many Republican eyebrows. Several members of the GOP even believe the FBI is now intentionally and actively working to frame the President. However, concerns extend beyond the aforementioned matter. Many conservatives are now questioning whether or not the FBI went as far as to plant a mole within the Trump campaign as a means of spying.
