
The courtroom drama continues to unfold in the Attorney General Letitia James’ fraud case against the Trump family. Day 22 saw the return of Donald Trump Jr. to the witness stand, and his brother Eric Trump was next in line, shedding light on their involvement in the statements of financial condition and intent.
Trump Jr. Faces Intense Questioning
As the proceedings unfolded, Faherty, the attorney for the Attorney General’s office, questioned Donald Trump Jr. on his knowledge of the statements of financial condition and intent. When asked about his thoughts on the work done by the former CFO and controller, Trump Jr. replied, “I actually think that things are materially correct.”
However, the judge dug deeper, asking if he had any involvement in these statements, to which Trump Jr. emphatically responded, “No, I did not, your Honor.” He also mentioned that their new CFO is a certified public accountant (CPA).
The courtroom was filled with a flurry of objections regarding the remedial steps taken by the Trump Organization after the government’s investigation began. Ultimately, there was no cross-examination of Trump Jr.
