President Trump's first wife, Ivana Trump, has come forth and stated that her ex-husband is not racist, reports The Hill.

Earlier today, Ivana Trump appeared on the United Kingdom's 'Good Morning Britain' and denied claims that President is racist:

"I don’t see Donald as racist at all."

When asked about allegations of President Trump referring to Haiti and parts of Africa as "sh*tholes," Ivana provided her take:

"[He sometimes makes remarks] that are silly or he doesn’t really mean them. Who knows? He has so many people telling him left and right what to say and what not to say, and things like that. And sometimes it maybe gets confusing. I honestly don’t know. But he is definitely not racist, I am sure of that."

The President's first wife also shared her thoughts on the President's tweet in which he referred to himself as a "stable genius:"

"I don't think Donald is going to do anything irrational. He is a stable genius, definitely. He is very stable, very focused, very organized. When he sets his goal on something, he does it."

President Trump and Accusations of Racism

From the inception of President Trump's campaign for the Oval Office, his critics have repeatedly slammed him as a racist. However, this assertion is highly controversial and many of the President's supporters have noted instances which clash with the narrative of "Donald Trump, the racist."

For instance, in the 1990s, the then-future President actively fought against discrimination against blacks and Jewish people, as documented by the Washington Post. In 2008, when several of singer Jennifer Hudson's family members were murdered, Donald Trump allowed she and some of her relatives to stay in his Trump Chicago Hotel free of charge. The aforementioned instances are not the actions of a racist, opine supporters of President Trump.

Moreover, the Commander-in-Chief has repeatedly stated that he is not a racist. On Sunday, he gave the following statements to reporters:

"No. I’m not a racist. I’m the least racist person you will ever interview."

Finally, the President's base maintains that accusations of racism are merely being employed as a tool to discredit him.
