In America and around the world, tensions have been high since the war in Israel that's been raging for one month now. To this day, many of the hostages violently ripped away from the Jewish state by Hamas still remain unaccounted for.

Making matters even worse, death threats, physical harassment, and other atrocities towards Jewish people keep emerging here in the United States and other countries around the world.

Rallies in favor of Israel and Palestine/Hamas also continue to materialize in various major cities. Though while pro-Israel demonstrations generally remain peaceful and calm, the same cannot be said for protests in support of Palestine and/or Hamas.

Earlier this week, one demonstration ended in the death of Paul Kessler, a 69-year-old Jewish man.

What happened to Paul Kessler?

Ominous warnings about the danger of rising hatred against the Jewish community came to pass amid Kessler's death on Monday. Photos and videos captured the elderly man waving an Israeli flag at a demonstration outside of Los Angeles, California, just before the attack.

So far, law enforcement in Ventura County is still investigating Kessler's passing.

However, videos circulating online, in addition to eyewitness accounts, assert that Kessler fell to the ground after being violently hit in the head with a megaphone by a pro-Palestine protester.

Sherrif Jim Fryhoff of Ventura County recently confirmed that police identified a suspect. Though no arrest for Kessler's death has occurred yet.

When addressing the public, Fryhoff stated the individual who allegedly struck Kessler attended Monday's protest in support of Palestine. The sheriff also stated Kessler's death followed an "interaction" between him and the pro-Palestine protester.

Meanwhile, the Medical Examiner's Office of Ventura County confirms the elderly man died by homicide.

Outrage from the public

In the wake of Paul Kessler dying, scathing backlash against pro-Palestine rallies and supporters continues emerging on social media.

Some folks have stated that Western governments should move to ban demonstrations in favor of Palestine, owing to the violence that often accompanies them.

Other critics believe that law enforcement needs to have a heightened presence at all rallies centering around the Israel-Hamas conflict.

As the world waits to learn more details about what happened to Kessler, concerns are now growing that more Jewish people could be murdered by supporters of Palestine and Hamas.
