Joe Biden was allegedly the Big Guy in the foreign bribery schemes

the Big Guy

A released FBI informant file, brought to light Thursday by Senator Chuck Grassley, contains startling allegations of bribery involving the Bidens. The file contained an official FBI record in the form of an FD-1023 form that was heavily redacted by the FBI. The form revealed that a Ukrainian oligarch claimed that he was “coerced” into making a $10 million payoff to Hunter Biden and the “Big Guy.”

Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of Burisma Holdings, is at the center of these bribery allegations.

In 2016, while meeting at a coffee shop in Vienna, Austria, Zlochevsky told the FBI informant that it cost $5 million to pay one Biden and another $5 million to the other Biden.

Hunter Biden’s employment with Burisma was a major US news story in 2019 when then-President Donald Trump was impeached for pressuring Ukraine to investigate the Bidens.

The FBI source asked whether Hunter Biden or Joe Biden told Zlochevsky he should “retain” the younger Biden. Zlochevsky allegedly replied, “They both did.”

Ukrainian Oligarch Claims Joe Biden is the “Big Guy”

The reference to "Biden" is related to Hunter Biden, who was placed on the Burisma board from 2014 to 2019. And received around $5 million dollars in payments during that time.

The mention of a "big guy" previously was used in reference to a potential 10% cut for Joe Biden in a partnership with CEFC China Energy, a Chinese-government-linked entity. This moniker became publicly known in October 2020, months after the informant file was created.

Zlochevsky allegedly made a comment about Hunter Biden being "stupid," but he felt the need to keep him on Burisma's board. The reason for this decision, as stated by Zlochevsky, was to ensure that "everything will be okay."

These revelations raised eyebrows in Congress and added further scrutiny to exactly what service Hunter Biden provided to Burisma.

The FBI Source and Supporting Witness

The informant behind the FD-1023 form is described as a Ukrainian-American who has been a reliable and credible source for the FBI for over a decade. This individual has been paid a significant sum of money for his services to the US.

He claimed to have had four conversations with Zlochevsky, with the first meeting taking place near Kyiv in late 2015 or early 2016 and the last one being a phone call in 2019.

The informant also claims that Alexander Ostapenko was present during each conversation with Zlochevsky. Ostapenko allegedly works for the administration of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Recordings and Evidence

According to the informant, Zlochevsky said he possessed 17 recordings of conversations with the Bidens, two of which involved Joe Biden. He also claimed to possess "many text messages" and two documents that were believed to be financial records of payments made to the Bidens.

Zlochevsky's statements suggest that he was coerced into paying the Bidens to ensure the firing of Ukraine's Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

This aligns with Joe Biden's public statement at the Council of Foreign Relations claiming he leveraged $1 billion in US loan guarantees to force Shokin's dismissal in March 2016.

The release of the FBI informant file raises crucial questions about the involvement of the Bidens in foreign bribery schemes.

House Democrats have contended that Shokin's firing was also sought by US allies in Europe due to his own corruption.

This information has been in the FBI's possession since 2016, but the informant's file was not created until 2020.

Republicans are now, raising questions about why it took so long for this information to become public.
