First Woman Issue #1
The online graphic novel's first issue “Dream to Tomorrow” introduces readers to the resilient and inspiring Commander Callie Rodriguez and her robot companion, RT. The website emphasizes that Callie will not only be the first woman on the Moon but also the first person of color to explore our celestial neighbor. Her journey is one marked by unyielding perseverance, passion, and an unquenchable thirst for adventure, though it does not come without its own set of challenges. She is accompanied by her AI-driven robotic sidekick, RT. Named after Callie's father, Arturo, and a tribute to NASA's "Artemis" mission, RT surprises everyone, including Callie, with his quirky personality and humor, all of which result from his unsupervised learning. As readers follow in Callie's footsteps through immersive 3D virtual environments, they'll gain insight into the remarkable NASA technologies that make her mission, as well as future lunar expeditions, possible. The graphic novel's first issue paints a vivid picture of Callie's journey from a young dreamer yearning to explore space to her selection as an astronaut candidate. And ends with her groundbreaking adventure to the lunar surface.
