Pierson Ferdinand LLP, known as PierFerd, announced Monday the opening of its new London office, marking a significant step in the firm's global expansion. The office will be staffed by eight partners and six other staff members.

Key Appointments and Office Focus

Many of the new team members have transitioned to PierFerd from FisherBroyles, including Peter Finding, who has been named the managing partner of the London office. Located at 110 Bishopsgate, the office will specialize in banking, capital markets, disputes, employment, financial regulation, immigration, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and securities.

“Today marks a milestone in PierFerd's international growth,” said A. Michael Pierson, firm co-chairman, in a joint statement. “We are proud to have our first global office opening in London to serve multinational clients in a key financial hub, and to expand our client service offerings.”

Peter Finding, known for his leading international employment law practice, will provide strategic advice to multinational businesses on various global people issues. “PierFerd enables lawyers to practice at their highest level and reach clients no matter where they are located,” Finding said. “Our clients demand elite support from lawyers aligned to their business aims, always with a sharp commercial focus.”

The initial team of partners joining the London office includes:

• Stephen Di Cioccio: Corporate chair of the banking and financial services sector, representing a range of clients in commercial transactions and financial regulatory matters.
• Carolyn Dunlop: Corporate lawyer specializing in capital markets, with extensive experience in banking and real estate financing across multiple countries.
• Richard Harvey: International employment lawyer with a background in global law firms, in-house roles, and law firm startups.
• Peter Huth-Wallis: Litigation lawyer with expertise in financial services, corporate and commercial litigation, and asset recovery.
• Paul-Michael Rebus: Corporate lawyer with dual qualifications in U.S. and U.K. securities, corporate, and financial regulatory matters.
• Janis Wilderspin: Expert in corporate and commercial strategic advice, handling mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring, and financing.
• Andrew Webster: Corporate lawyer with over 30 years of experience in corporate, energy, and technology law.

Bridging U.S. and Europe

Pierson emphasized that the London team will serve as a bridge between the U.S. and Europe, enhancing client services across multiple regions. Along with the new partners, Pierson and co-chairman Joel M. Ferdinand will also support clients in the region as registered foreign lawyers.

PierFerd, which launched in January with over 100 lawyers from FisherBroyles, now boasts over 170 partners across 80 practice areas, serving more than 20 markets.
