The Democrat Party's decision to move forward with an impeachment inquiry has prompted immense, right-wing backlash. After the impeachment inquiry announcement, the president's re-election campaign and the Republican National Committee raised five million dollars within one day. Furthermore, Trump slammed the left-wing's interest in impeachment, citing his accomplishments as president thus far.

On Saturday, the president had additional choice words for the Democrat Party. Taking to Twitter, Trump harshly censured "do nothing Democrat savages." The president then called for people to imagine if Republicans targeted Obama in the manner which Democrats are targeting him.

Reviewing President Trump's Criticism of the Democrat Party

The president tweeted out a series of criticisms regarding the Democrats and their impeachment inquiry. First, Trump began with a tweet admonishing various leftist leaders and members of Congress.

Shortly thereafter, the president hit the Democrats for "PRESIDENTIAL HARRASSMENT." Trump also noted that the claims of the whistleblower conflict with statements from the president of Ukraine. Since the impeachment inquiry, Ukraine's leader has come out and furthermore stated that Trump did not engage in a quid-pro-quo.

Yesterday, the president also called out the Democrat Party for falling to take action on policy matters. Trump noted that the left has, thus far, declined to work on infrastructure, gun safety, the prices of prescription drugs, and other reforms.

In a nutshell, Republicans and others on the right-wing believe that this impeachment inquiry will backfire. Members of the Trump 2020 re-election campaign have already commenced running various ads; the message in these ads states that the impeachment inquiry is an offshoot of Democrats knowing that they cannot beat Trump in 2020.

Since the impeachment inquiry, virtually all of the 2020 Democrats have come out in favor of impeachment. Beto O'Rourke even called on Trump to resign from office, claiming that a Trump resignation would unify America. Tulsi Gabbard, a 2020 Democrat who previously opposed impeachment, has now vocalized her support for it as well.
