Over the past year, political acrimony has reached all-time highs. Both Republicans and Democrats have faced accusations of descending into extremism. Many on the left have taken to the streets to protest on political and social issues with displeased them. However, Republicans have largely censured left-wing protesters for going to the homes of conservatives and harassing them in restaurants.
As political discord has worsened in America, leaders on both sides of the aisle have shared their thoughts. Democrats such as Hillary Clinton and Eric Holder recently took heat for seemingly endorsing violence against Republicans. Conversely, Republican Rand Paul warned of the danger which may follow if political acrimony proceeds on its current trajectory.
