Six months ago, Wonderful was closing a modest funding round. Now it's sitting atop a $5 billion valuation, having just closed a $550 million Series C — the kind of rapid ascent that turns a promising startup into an industry name almost overnight. The Amsterdam-based company, which builds an artificial intelligence operating system for enterprise companies, announced the raise Wednesday.

What the New Funding Will Power

Wonderful said the fresh capital will accelerate both product development and the global rollout of its platform — a signal that this round is less about survival and more about scaling an already-working business faster than organic growth alone would allow.

Who's Backing the Round

The fundraising was led by Insight Partners, the venture capital and private equity firm, with additional participation from Salesforce alongside previous backers including Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards and Bessemer Venture Partners — a lineup that blends established venture capital muscle with strategic corporate interest.

A Rapid Succession of Funding Rounds

This isn't Wonderful's first trip to the fundraising table this year. The company closed a $150 million Series B back in March, also led by Insight Partners — meaning Wonderful has now raised two substantial rounds within the same calendar year. The startup itself only emerged from stealth mode in 2025, making this trajectory from quiet development to multibillion-dollar valuation remarkably swift.

Leadership's Vision for the Company

"Organizations need a shared AI foundation that compounds in value as more of the enterprise relies on it, and that's exactly what we're building," said Bar Winkler, chief executive and co-founder of Wonderful, in Wednesday's statement. "This funding allows us to help more enterprises make that transition."

What Wonderful Actually Does

Wonderful partners with large enterprise companies, which integrate its AI operating system to automate internal workflows and build custom AI applications on top of the platform. The company says it currently operates across more than 35 markets and employs roughly 650 people globally — a footprint that's expanded quickly for a company still just a few years removed from stealth mode.

Insight Partners' Perspective on the Investment

Jeff Horing, co-founder and managing partner of Insight Partners, framed Wonderful's technology as foundational infrastructure rather than just another AI application layered on top of existing systems. "Wonderful is building the operating layer that allows enterprises to scale AI across the entire organization," Horing said in Wednesday's announcement, adding that Insight is "excited to continue supporting the company in its next phase of growth."

Part of a Broader AI Investment Wave

Wonderful's massive raise arrives amid an industry-wide surge of enthusiasm around enterprise AI tools. At the International Legal Technology Association Conference last week in Nashville, that momentum was on full display, as well-funded legal software vendors built some of the largest exhibition booths the conference has ever seen, pulling out every marketing tool available to attract new clients in an increasingly crowded and capital-rich AI landscape.
