Ex-cop charged with murder now being charged in 2019 stalking and burglary of another woman

Miles Bryant a former Georgia police officer was charged with the kidnapping and murder of Susanna Morales a 16-year-old girl who went missing in July 2021. The ex-cop is now facing new charges. And is accused of the 2019 stalking of Elesha Bates and burglarizing her home. 

Bryant, an ex-cop with the Doraville Police Department, is accused of kidnapping and killing 16-year-old Susanna Morales. And then dumping her naked body in the forest. 

He is being held without bond at the Gwinnett County Adult Detention Center on charges of concealing the death of another, filing a false report of a crime, murder, and kidnapping.

Now, Bryant is facing burglary charges in the town of Snellville. His former classmate accused him of stalking her and breaking into her home in May 2019. Elisha Bates said she wonders if Morales would still be alive had the burglary case not been dismissed. Bates said she and Bryant knew each other since the fifth grade.

According to Bates, Bryant stalked her constantly. And broke into her apartment once while she was not home.

She reported the incidents to the Doraville Police Department, where Bryant was working at the time. And also reported the disturbing behavior to the Gwinnett County Police Department.
