Massachusetts Police Lieutenant Confessed
The accused man was a 22-year veteran of the police force. He has been placed on administrative leave by the Winthrop Police Department pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
The former police lieutenant was also a foster parent, as disclosed by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families.
Details emerged from a criminal complaint filed in East Boston Municipal Court, revealing that Feeley had admitted to the crimes on Christmas night while standing by his parents’ gravesites. He has pleaded not guilty.
He was initially taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
The alleged victim was treated at Boston Children’s Hospital. This is where the child claimed that Feeley’s assaults started about a year ago.
His LinkedIn page indicates involvement in the local church and a history as a business owner.
The Department of Children and Families collaborates with law enforcement agencies. The unnamed victim, reported ongoing abuse for about a year, remains central to the case.
