Project Nimbus: Google Employees Fired Amid Protest Controversy

Since its inception three years ago, Project Nimbus has drawn criticism from activists and several employees, who allege it has implications for human rights and international law.

There have been other employee terminations and has also prompted resignations within Google’s workforce. 

Eddie Hatfield, a Google Cloud engineer and NTFA activist, was fired following his disruption of an Israeli tech conference sponsored by the company last year. And Vidana Abdel Khalek, a trust and safety policy employee, resigned in protest of Project Nimbus a few months ago.
