Kolodich served as the Deputy of the Duma of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and was said to be a big supporter of Putin and the Russian leader’s war against Ukraine.
He also held prominent committee positions and was well-connected in the country’s “political machine” before his sudden death.
The same month, a Russian sausage tycoon fell to his death from a hotel window in India just two days after his best friend also died at the same hotel.

A Russian real-estate tycoon also took a fatal tumble down a flight of stairs while on the French Riviera in December.
Earlier this month, federal judge Artyom Bartenev fell 12 stories from his apartment building and was pronounced dead at the scene.
In April, energy boss Igor Shkurko was found dead in his prison cell after he was accused of taking a bribe.
The 49-year-old was the deputy general director of the Russian energy company Yakutskenergo.
He was a member of the pro-Putin United Russia political party, but his membership was suspended when the bribe allegation was made.
