Over the weekend, our sun, the fiery heart of our solar system, unleashed a series of powerful flares, sending solar storms hurtling towards Earth and igniting a mesmerizing display of light in the night sky. 

These celestial phenomena, driven by solar flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs), are typical manifestations of heightened solar activity as our sun approaches the peak of its 11-year cycle known as solar maximum.
