Trans Algerian boxer Imane Khelif delivered multiple blows to the face of Italy’s Angela Carinia at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Carini was forced to withdrawal in just 46 seconds during a match in the Women’s 145 lb. category.  Khelif is closer to securing a gold medal while Carini’s Olympic dreams were shattered. 

This fight has become a focal point amid ongoing debates about gender eligibility in sports. With critics arguing that males have a physical advantage over biological women.
