Generally, it's used in reference to people who behave in crazy, outlandish or senseless ways when seeing or hearing the 45th president. Moreover, 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' is a mental ailment which often prompts Trump critics to abstain from logic and reason as it pertains to the current president. Many observers have noted the strong reactions which tend to occur from people who vehemently dislike President Trump. These reactions commonly include protesting, calling for his impeachment (despite a lack of impeachable offenses), referring to him as a racist, screaming at the sky during protests and more. Americans who support the president also believe that there is no way for Trump to win over his detractors. Many Trump backers maintain that critics will always oppose the president regardless of his words, actions, or policies.

At this time, the United States government shutdown is now 11 days old. It officially commenced on the evening of December 21, 2018; this occurred when the president and Democratic leaders failed to reach an agreement on legislation to keep government open. Although leaders Schumer and Pelosi introduced a series of bills to continue government funding, none of the bills provided funding for Trump's promised border wall. Ever since, President Trump and the Democrats remain deadlocked in a political battle of hardball.
