But Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani, the President’s attorney, had a lot of criticism for the ongoing investigation and how Mueller is pursuing it. They want to undermine it.
These charges, however, do not relate to the Trump campaign or involvement of Russian intelligence, said Trump. He is constantly noting this as he tries to distance himself from Manafort.
But on Friday, Trump said that he doesn’t want to pardon Manafort. He added that he doesn’t want to do the same for Michael Cohen, either. Cohen is his previous personal attorney who’s under investigation in New York.
Manafort and Kilimnik Denying
Manafort, however, denied all of the accusations against him through a spokesman. Jason Maloni, the spokesman, said that Manafort’s attorneys are reviewing the new charges.
Kilimnik already stated that he doesn’t want to comment on any of the accusations. He, too, denied his involvement with Russian intelligence. The prosecutors say that Kilimnik is living in Moscow and that he is not in U.S. custody.
