Doocey didn’t let this slide, though. He further pressed Psaki, asking if the White House’s position on Afghanistan is that Americans do not remain stranded there. Shortly thereafter, Psaki declared that she was “calling out” Doocey; she then slammed his supposedly “irresponsible” claim that Americans remain stranded in Afghanistan.
Facts vs. the White House’s narrative
Contrary to the false narratives coming from the White House, Americans remain sadly stranded in Afghanistan. This situation is what it is because Biden neglected to evacuate U.S. citizens and allies before evacuating our troops.
Thanks to Biden’s lack of foresight, the Taliban is back after two decades. They’re now threatening America; the Taliban moreover has checkpoints around the Kabul airport so that virtually no one can get in without their approval. Reports of the Taliban committing human rights abuses are also present.
Polls this month show that most Americans disagree with how Biden handled this situation. After Psaki’s statements on Monday, even CNN fact-checked her. Had Biden handled this situation with more grace and precision, our citizens and allies would be safer. Yet, this president, by his own admission, believes nothing could have gone better.
