Bunnie Xo recounts that her first meeting with Jelly Roll was far from conventional. While working at a concert in Las Vegas back in 2015, she met the musician backstage. She admits that he was not typically her type, yet she felt an instant, magnetic pull when he offered her a drink.
She writes that she was, dare I say, mesmerized. She described the sensation of shaking his hand as feeling like every star in the sky had collided. One of the most surprising anecdotes in the book involves their first official date at a local honky tonk bar. The chemistry between them was immediate and intense. When the evening concluded and they went back to her room, the situation took an unexpected turn.
Bunnie Xo writes that she had attempted to initiate physical intimacy, but Jelly Roll declined. Instead of spending the night in a romantic entanglement, they stayed up until seven in the morning talking about their futures, their individual dreams, and their shared vision for their lives together. She recalls that he was shy, but the moment they spent together solidified their bond. They made a pinky promise to support one another in achieving their goals, a vow that served as the foundation of their relationship.

Bunnie Xo became well known for her candidness regarding her past work. When she joined Jelly Roll on tour, she asked if he would mind her continuing to see her clients. She recalls that he was completely calm and supportive, telling her to do whatever she needed to do.
She coined the term Whore Tour for her side business, which allowed her to book clients in every city they visited. She shared that her rates began at one thousand dollars for a simple dinner. Crucially, she emphasized that Jelly Roll never made her feel ashamed for her hustle. He listened with interest to her stories, acting as a nonjudgmental partner while she navigated that chapter of her life.
