This isn’t to say that employees are not valuable. Countless businesses rely upon good work from employees in order to run successfully. However, in the grander scheme of things, employees are more valuable as a collective, than individually. In virtually all cases, replacing an employee is much easier than replacing a CEO.
In the free market, individuals’ pay comes in proportion to the value which they bring to the table.
