As long as Democrats prioritize identity politics over patriotism and feelings over common sense, they will continue to lose elections. Also, if the Democrats are serious about putting forth a valiant effort in 2020, they need to start denouncing radicalism. This means not turning a blind eye to AntiFa and calling them out for committing violent crimes against Americans. Not labeling conservatives, Republicans, and Trump supporters as irredeemable and racist will be very impactful as well.
The election of President Trump truly exposed the ugliness within the Democrat Party. Biden can run for office if he so chooses, but he will have to resonate with Americans that aren’t Democrats. This is something that liberals have struggled with for quite some time. Bashing Trump supporters is not going to help them win any elections. Hillary Clinton tried this and ultimately failed.
Only Time Will Tell
As stated by Ashley Biden, only time will tell whether or not her father runs for office. If Biden does decide to give it a go, he will undoubtedly have the support of many Democrats. Many liberals who weren’t too keen on Clinton wanted Biden to run for the White House. They just might get their wish in 2020.
