Stormy weather conditions are not mutually exclusive to Los Angeles, though. Both Sacramento and San Francisco continue to suffer from this as well.
In Sacramento, the National Weather Service urged folks to steer clear of travel until Wednesday, March 1. This is due to a pile-up of both snow and rain.
Likewise, in San Francisco, officials expected blistering cold temperatures over the weekend.
Staying safe
In Northern California, many school closures are expected to occur today. This could potentially persist later into the week, depending on what the weather looks like.
In Southern California, rain and snow are netting between five to six inches.
It goes without saying that weather of this nature demands people to take more precautions for the sake of their own well-being.
Staying indoors, drinking warm liquids, and using flashlights or lights reliant upon battery power are some commonsense measures that can make surviving cold storms easier.
Later this week, California residents and other Americans can expect more updates on weather projections to come.
