He further claimed that the Polish pilots were not responsible. And the bad weather at the time of the crash was not a factor.

Anti-Russia Polish President

President Kaczynski was a one-time anti-communist activist who teamed up with his twin brother to take his country in a nationalist, conservative direction.

Kaczynski, who was 60 at the time of his death, pursued a strongly pro-U.S. line in foreign relations. And his Law-and-Justice party platform had grown a cross-party consensus.

He was also an enthusiastic backer of plans to site a U.S. missile defense facility in the country. During his term in office Poland joined the EU.

Allegations made again

The report repeats the public allegations made for years by Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the twin brother of the late president. Jaroslaw is currently the leader of the Law-and-Justice party.

Poland shares a border with Belarus and Ukraine. They support Ukraine in its current war with Russia. And are increasing sanctions against Moscow.
