Readers of The Daily Wire strongly censured Beveridge’s aforementioned blunder, opining that he mistakenly expressed a genuine belief that many left-leaning American have:
“To be fair: Progs don’t only view blacks as slaves, they view everyone as a slave of the state.”
“That was a liberal slip-up. Who are the real racists?”
“Democrats don’t ever want to let blacks off the plantation.”
Thus far, CNN has yet to release an official statement regarding Andrew Beveridge’s perceived Freudian slip. Many conservatives have slammed the Queens professor as an example of “what a real racist looks like.”
“I notice that the left is filled with them, but [the] media lets it slide,” opined one reader of The Daily Wire.
Beveridge and progressives as a whole have faced criticism for the aforesaid “slaves” slip of the tongue. Thus far, no one has expressed thoughts on what would have occurred if a white Republicans made the same mistake. Overall, the mainstream media remains silent about Andrew Beveridge’s statement.
