Impeaching President Trump is a goal which the Democrat Party has strived to accomplish for quite some time. From the moment of Trump's election, many Democrat voters vowed to "resist" the president and his administration. The left-wing continues to uphold this promise by rallying in the streets, repeatedly branding Trump as a racist, and calling for his impeachment.

Congressional Democrats have attempted to draft impeachment articles against the president and called upon House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to impeach Trump. Ultimately, each and every attempt to impeach the president has resulted in failure.

In an interesting turn of events, however, 2020 hopeful Tulsi Gabbard is not in favor of impeachment; instead, Gabbard maintains that Americans ought to vote President Trump out of office in 2020.

Reviewing Gabbard's Statements on Impeaching Trump

During an interview with Greta Van Susteren, Gabbard opined that impeachment would only further already-existing divides in America.

However, the 2020 hopeful made very clear that her opposition to impeachment does not equate to support for President Trump. Instead, Gabbard stated that President Trump's removal from office should happen by the votes of Americans, rather than via Congressional impeachment.

Gabbard's statements on impeaching President Trump read as follows:

"I don't support impeachment. You know, I think it’s important for us to think about what is in the best interest of the country and the American people. Continuing to pursue impeachment is something that I think will only further to tear our country apart."

How Realistic is Impeachment?

The majority of Democrats disagree with Gabbard's take on impeachment. As a matter of fact, many 2020 Democrats have openly declared their support for impeachment; although, it's unclear how pro-impeachment leftists would feel about Mike Pence becoming the next president. This is precisely what would follow if impeachment somehow yielded success.

Critics of impeachment have noted that President Trump has yet to commit impeachable offenses. Furthermore, the Senate, which maintains a Republican majority, has made very clear that they won't support any legislation to impeach the president.
