Initially charged with attempted murder, suspect Mohamed Soliman now faces two counts of first-degree murder: one under the theory of extreme indifference, and one for murder with intent after deliberation.

In a press release, Boulder DA Michael Dougherty claimed, “This horrific attack has now claimed the life of an innocent person who was beloved by her family and friends. Our office will fight for justice for the victims, their loved ones, and the community.”

A Growing List of Victims

According to prosecutors, Soliman used Molotov cocktails during the attack and carried a backpack weed sprayer and containers filled with flammable liquid. Authorities have identified 29 total victims so far, including 13 with physical injuries. Charges have expanded to include 66 additional counts, reflecting the scope of the violence.
