Is There Brewing Tension Between President Trump and AG Jeff Sessions?

The New York Times attributed the President’s so called discontent with Jeff Sessions to a series of his tweets on Monday in which the President censures the Justice Department for botching his travel ban executive order. President Trump stated that a politically correct ban was not in the best interests of national security. However, the President’s displeasure with the Justice Department does not necessarily mean that he bares any hard feelings towards the Attorney General, although only time will tell. The President is known for being blunt, outspoken, and to the point; if he was truly unhappy with AG Jeff Sessions, there would most likely be hard evidence as opposed to mere speculations.

When considering the validity of certain accusations, taking the source into account is very critical. The mainstream media, and especially the NYT (of all platforms), is infamous for their inaccurate and flagrantly biased coverage of the President. Their proven track record of publishing disparaging content involving President Trump is what brings their claims into serious question. The President’s censure of the Justice Department does not automatically equate to tension between himself and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
