On Wednesday, former first daughter Chelsea Clinton discussed the conditions in which she would potentially run for public office, reports The Hill.
An Overview of Clinton’s Remarks
Clinton discussed the possibility of running for office during an interview with The Journal News. Clinton’s interview largely centered around the promotion of her new book “Start Now! You Can Make a Difference.” The former first daughter stated that were another individual to relinquish their position, she may then consider a political run.
“If someone were to step down or retire and I thought I could do a good job and it matched my talents, I’d have to think if it’s the right choice for me.”
However, Clinton maintains that she has no current plans to seek public office. Although, she added that running for elected office is something which she hopes “every young person thinks about.”
