Last night, the first half of 2020 presidential candidates within the Democrat field participated in their first primary debate.
Now, how the candidates feel about their debate is unknown, but the same can’t be said regarding the perception of the American public. Both conservatives and progressives alike have censured the first primary debate for a multitude of reasons.
The Backlash Facing the Democrats
Critics noted that many of last night’s candidates shouted over one another and failed to directly answer questions. Additional observers took issue with the number of candidates on stage and seemingly rehearsed “sound bytes.” The technical issue which occurred while the Democrats debated one another didn’t help their cause either.
Bipartisan criticism directed towards the debate reads as follows:
First half: free things, rights for illegals.
Second half is all about: limiting your constitutional rights.

Not a promising start. Nobody came close to answering the first question, a good one: With 70% saying they like the economy, shld we make radical changes to it? Only interchangable chunks from the stump speeches. You're going to have to answer that at some point, guess not tonite
