The world is months away from the one-year anniversary since Russia invaded Ukraine and started a war there. Russian President Vladimir Putin and his allies have spread all sorts of lies to justify their invasion of a sovereign country. One of the most salacious lies of all is that Ukraine is a Nazi nation that is persecuting helpless Russians. When Russia invaded Ukraine back in February, Putin thought it would take all but days for Ukraine to fall. However, the neighboring nation to Russia is standing tall and fighting back. A huge asset for Ukraine in the fight has been ongoing support from America and other western nations. Yesterday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky traveled to the United States. During his travels, he and Joe Biden held a joint press conference. Zelensky furthermore gave his own speech to our nation's Congress. Now, GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham is weighing in with his thoughts on what must happen to bring an end to the war in Ukraine.

An uncomfortable truth?

During an interview with America's Reports, Graham faced questioning about how much he would be willing to give Ukraine at Zelensky's request. The South Carolina senator was also asked if he personally would approve of Ukraine receiving Reaper drones, Grey Eagle drones, etc. Graham responded to this line of questioning by saying he would assist Ukraine's president with "dislodging" Russians who illegally remain in Ukraine. Graham then explained drones and long-range weapons would be most effective in helping Ukraine beat back Russian advances. Later, the senator explained the war in Ukraine can only end when someone in Russia assassinates Putin. Graham made similar statements to this end earlier in the year. This time around, he told America's Reports that pushing for Ukraine to make concessions and give portions of their nation to Russia won't happen after all that's transpired. Likewise, Graham explained Ukraine agreeing to a ceasefire would only lead to Russia rearming, then attacking Ukraine again. Finally, the senator reiterated that "[taking] Putin out" is what will end the war, along with giving Russian people "a new lease on life."

More details on the ground

As the war in Ukraine does not go as Putin has anticipated, he is openly making threats against the West. That comes in addition to the Russian dictator toying with the possibility of unleashing nuclear weapons on Ukraine. Sources with knowledge of Putin also warned he will never voluntarily pull back from this war. Time will tell if Graham's prediction about the end of the war proves to be correct.
