Hurricane Debby, the fourth named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season and the second named hurricane, has rapidly intensified into a Category 1 storm.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has reported that Debby is currently located about 100 miles west-northwest of Tampa, Florida, with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph. This formidable storm is poised to make landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region on Monday morning.

Tracking Hurricane Debby
According to the NHC, Hurricane Debby is expected to move slowly across northern Florida and southern Georgia on Monday and Tuesday, eventually nearing the Georgia coast by Tuesday night.
“Debby is then expected to move slowly across northern Florida and southern Georgia Monday and Tuesday, and be near the Georgia coast by Tuesday night,” the hurricane center stated in its latest advisory.
