(Atlanta, GA) – The courtroom saga of the YSL RICO trial came to a dramatic conclusion in October 2024, but before that occurred, the presiding Judge Ural Glanville, was ordered-removed from the case.
In this report, we analyze this unprecedented order, issued by a Georgia state court in July 2024, which remains a critical case study for litigants navigating judicial misconduct and recusal procedures. Though the trial ended with convictions for several defendants, including high-profile rapper Jeffrey Williams, known as Young Thug, the recusal order has left a lasting imprint on the legal community.
