New Hampshire Gov. Thinks Trump Could Lose 2024 Republican Primary

The 2024 presidential election is getting closer with each passing day. With Biden looking like he's going to pursue reelection, many Americans are curious about who Republicans will nominate to challenge the president this time around.
So far, the only Republican candidate to announce their candidacy is former President Trump. Though last time Trump went up against Biden in a general presidential election, he lost and Biden won. If Trump secures the nomination again in 2024, history could very well repeat itself.
Over a period of months, polls have shown that the one Republican with the greatest likelihood of keeping Trump from getting the nomination is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
If DeSantis does, in fact, decide to run for president, he's unlikely to announce until later this year. In the meantime, there is now at least one Republican elected official on the record stating that Trump could lose the GOP nomination in 2024, while DeSantis could win.
New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu weighs in
When the New Hampshire governor sat down with CNN, he discussed some possible outcomes in the GOP primary race for the upcoming presidential election.
It is Sununu's view that Trump's presidential campaign has faced notable "stumbling blocks" that could keep him from getting the nomination.
Furthermore, the New Hampshire governor made a point of noting that Trump is lacking the "energy" and "fire" that he brought to the table during the 2016 presidential election.
As it pertains to the possibility of a DeSantis 2024 presidential run, Sununu says if the New Hampshire GOP primary were held in real-time, the Florida governor would likely win. Sununu also believes his Florida counterpart will end up running for the White House.
Growing support for DeSantis
Various PACs have emerged to create a foundation for DeSantis if he chooses to run for president. Ready For Ron and Ron to the Rescue are just a few examples.
As a matter of fact, Ron to the Rescue was just recently in New Hampshire, helping to campaign for a potential DeSantis 2024 run.

Pro-DeSantis PACs maintain that if the Florida governor does decide to run for president, their work will give him a solid foundation and extra weapons in his arsenal.
As for whether or not DeSantis declares his candidacy in the 2024 presidential election, time will tell.
