The latest report by a special Polish government commission alleges that a 2010 plane crash was a bombing. And 96 people including Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his wife died in the assassination.

The tragedy took place in Russia. And Russia has refused to return the wreckage of the plane to Poland. The Russians even did their own investigation. And claimed the crash was due to pilot error.

The latest report was released Monday. It alleges an intentional detonation of explosives caused April 10, 2010, the crash of the Russian-made Tu-154M plane that killed the Polish President. And it specifically claims that Russia planted the bomb to assassinate Kaczynski and the other top Polish government and senior military personnel that was on board.

The head of the special commission, Antoni Macierwicz served as the defense minister from 2015 to 2018.

He claimed that the Polish dignitaries’ deaths were an intentional “act of unlawful interference by the Russian side.”

“The main and indisputable proof of the interference was an explosion in the left-wing … followed by an explosion in the plane’s center,” Macierewicz said.
