Her second conviction of first-degree manslaughter was in 1986. And she was denied parole on multiple occasions. At the time Marcelin admitted that she had “a problem with women.”
Marcelin was denied parole several times, sources said, and admitted at one hearing that she had “a problem with women.”
She was released from Cayuga Correctional Facility in late 2019, the records show.
Murder number 3 in Brooklyn
In the latest murder, Layden, the victim, was seen on February 27th surveillance video entering Marcelin’s Pennsylvania Avenue apartment. She was wheeling “a multi-colored bag with a flower decal” on it, according to the criminal complaint.
She was never seen alive again, prosecutors said. And the complaint says that “Upon review of the video surveillance, the original female Jane Doe never exits the residence.”
Three days later, there is video footage capturing Marcelin wheeling what appears to be the same bag out of the building.
The next day, “a human torso was discovered inside the bag.”
