Stellantis, the world’s fourth-largest automaker, has announced a recall of over 300,000 Ram Heavy Duty pickup trucks due to a defective hydraulic control unit.
This issue can cause failures in critical systems like anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, and traction control. However, the regular braking systems remain unaffected.
Stellantis Massive Recall
The recall affects 317,630 trucks from the 2017 and 2018 model years, including Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 models.
While most of these vehicles are in the United States, a small number are in Canada, Mexico, and other regions. Stellantis assures customers that repairs will be offered free of charge, with affected owners notified soon.
For further information, customers can contact Stellantis at 1-800-853-1403.
This issue follows recent recalls of 207,000 Jeep and Dodge SUVs for computer malfunctions and 1.5 million Ram pickups for software defects that disabled safety systems.
