Jeff Sessions’ Tenure as Attorney General of the United States
Sessions’ service as attorney general of the United States did not come without challenges. He frequently faced backlash from Americans on both sides of the aisle. Democrats disliked his policies and the administration which he worked for. Conversely, Republicans believed that Sessions failed to effectively crack down on issues which matter to the right-wing.
Earlier this year, calls for Sessions’ resignation began to mount. Before the second half of 2018, President Trump already started to openly express his regret over hiring Sessions. Apparently, the commander-in-chief’s disappointment in the former attorney general has not subsided since the latter’s resignation.
