In this election cycle, Florida has multiple amendments on the ballot that could alter the state’s constitution, should they garner the necessary 60% threshold of support. Though Amendment 3 (the legalization of recreational marijuana) and Amendment 4 (the protection of abortion access) are the most high-profile.

Democrats have urged state residents to back each of the aforementioned amendments. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and other state Republicans, on the other hand, are spending excessive amounts of time and money railing against both of these ballot initiatives.

In fact, the victory of Amendment 4 would terminate the six-week abortion ban that DeSantis signed into law less than a year ago.
