Federal authorities say they have disrupted a disturbing alleged plot to attack Sunday’s UFC America 250 event at the White House, where President Trump was sitting front row as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations.

Court records detail a scheme involving small drones loaded with explosives and snipers positioned to target senior government officials, wealthy attendees, and high-profile figures including Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Elon Musk.

Five individuals have been charged and arrested in connection with the plot: Tycen Proper of Ohio, Daniel Eskridge of Missouri, Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez of Nebraska, and Bryan Omar Roa and Michael Alan Thomas of California. Each faces at least one count of conspiracy to commit murder.

The investigation began after Proper’s mother contacted law enforcement, concerned about her son’s increasingly radical behavior, firearms purchases, and online activity. Proper allegedly connected with others in a TikTok group called “Vanguard of the Old,” which later moved to encrypted Signal chats to coordinate the attack.

The group discussed staging a “demonstration” on the north side of the White House before launching explosive-laden drones and opening fire with snipers as people fled south. Grievances cited included U.S. support for Israel, the handling of Jeffrey Epstein files, and broader anti-government sentiments.

FBI Director Kash Patel praised the swift multi-state operation, saying the alleged attacks were “stopped cold.” The Secret Service confirmed the event itself was never at risk thanks to proactive intelligence work.

This foiled plot represents one of the most serious alleged threats to a major public event at the White House in recent memory. The fact that the target was a high-profile UFC fight attended by the president, vice president, and other prominent figures underscores the growing danger of politically motivated violence in America.

While the suspects appear to have been stopped before they could act, the case raises troubling questions about how online radicalization and easy access to weapons can quickly escalate into real-world threats against national symbols and leaders.
