Amazon and Epson: United Front Against Counterfeit Ink Sellers

Legal Action Against Counterfeiters

Amazon and Seiko Epson have launched a significant legal strike against counterfeiters operating out of Turkey and the United Kingdom. The duo alleges that these sellers have been offering fake Epson printer ink bottles and cartridges via Amazon’s platform, in direct violation of their seller agreements and Epson’s intellectual property rights.

Filed in the Western District of Washington, the detailed 43-page complaint highlights the activities of individuals associated with 24 Amazon seller accounts. These accounts have reportedly been instrumental in advertising, importing, and distributing counterfeit Epson products, thus breaching their contract terms with Amazon and misusing Epson’s registered trademarks.
