Andrew Tate’s time behind bars has been extended once again for 30 more days.
On December 29, authorities arrested Andrew Tate, alongside his younger brother, Tristan Tate, in Romania for human trafficking, rape, and organized crime. Their arrests came along with two women who are known to them, Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu.
Since Tate’s time behind bars, authorities have taken the liberty of impounding his assets not just in Romania, but also in Dubai. Reports indicate that Romanian law enforcement may also pursue assets that Tate allegedly holds in the United States, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
According to officials in Romania, a guilty verdict in the case against the Tate brothers and two women will result in the impounded assets being used to compensate their victims.
What to know about the latest extension of Tate’s detention time
DIICOT, Romania’s anti-organized crime agency, confirmed on Tuesday that the Bucharest Tribunal approved prosecutors’ request to continue holding Andrew and Tristan Tate.
