tell-all 15-Million-Book-Deal-for-Memoir-Report-1024×642

The New York Post reports that pop superstar Britney Spears just signed with Simon & Schuster to write her memoir. And the $15 million book deal is expected to be a bombshell tell-all.

Publishing insiders report that Spears, 40, has reached a landmark deal with the Simon & Schuster publishing house. There has been a bidding war for the tell-all book with multiple publishers hoping for the project.

According to insiders, “the deal is one of the biggest of all time, behind the Obamas.” The rights to Barack and Michelle Obama's books sold in 2017, reportedly for $60 million. This is the largest-ever figure for the nonfiction genre of books.

In the meantime, the “Toxic” singer has been silenced by a much-contested conservatorship for 13 years. And her attorney Mathew Rosengart has called it a “Kafkaesque nightmare.”

But her most loyal fans in the #FreeBritney movement helped make the alleged abuses public. The high-earning Britney was trapped in conservatorship with her father Jamie Spears at the helm.

Several documentaries made public the alleged abuses and helped propel her in her bid for freedom.

Life after conservatorship

She fought a two-year legal battle. But it was only after her statement in a June hearing went public, that she was finally allowed to hire her own attorneys. And the megastar won her freedom in November 2021.

In the meantime, her attorneys are questioning the dissipation of her assets. And demanding answers from Jamie Spears. And from Lou Taylor, CEO of Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group and Britney’s former business manager.

Britney has been hinting that she’s ready to tell her story. On twitter she shared a photo of an old-school typewriter in early January and captioned it with “Shall I start from THE BEGINNING???”

And earlier this month, she posted on Instagram that she is working on her first music project in five years. And shared a video of herself dancing, saying, “This is a tease of what’s to come !!!!”

Britney was upset by claims made in her younger sister Jamie Lynn’s memoir. She is wondering about the timing of the book, as well as her sister's claims made in the January release of “Things I Should Have Said.”  She and Jamie Lynn have been openly feuding on social media.

Britney may go to Congress before writing tell-all book

Britney also revealed on Instagram that she has received a December 1st letter inviting her to speak to Congress about her controversial conservatorship.

Along with a copy of the letter, she posted:

“In a world where your own family goes against you, it’s actually hard to find people that get it and show empathy !!!!” she wrote. “Again, I’m not here to be a victim although I’m the first to admit I’m pretty messed up by it all … I want to help others in vulnerable situations, take life by the balls and be brave !!!”

Britney continued, “I wish I would have been … I was so scared, and nothing is worse than your own family doing what they did to me … I’m lucky to have a small circle of adorable friends who I can count on … In the meantime, thank you to Congress for inviting me to the White House.”

The letter was signed by Reps. Charlie Crist (D-Fla.) and Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.). And it congratulated Spears and her attorney on their victory in terminating the pop star’s conservatorship.

The superstar is now free to speak. And she claims she is sitting on a vault of stories about relatives who did not help. And others who profited from her pain in the 13-year conservatorship. “Lord have mercy on my family’s souls if I ever do an interview.”

“It’s Britney’s book, bitch.”  And it is anticipated that it will be a bestseller of a tell-all book. Because Britney has a lot to say.
